Mirror Therapy Abridged
Research indicates speaking positive affirmations can have a positive effect on self-perception with mirrors aiding in self-development, shifting the way you see yourself, and grounding you in your body.
- Get a mirror. Handheld mirrors are best as they have a more “getting up and close” nature to them.
- Hold your gaze. Make eye contact with yourself without judgment.
- Say positive affirmation/s. Say one to three things (or more) about yourself that are true, that you’ve heard from others, or that you want to be true.
