Therapy in Portland
Love Let Out is a telehealth therapy practice serving Portland and the greater Portland area. We provide LGBTQIA+ affirming, polyamory native, kink affirming, neurodivergent affirming, and religious trauma informed therapy through secure online sessions. Portland clients work with our founder, Cody Glover, LPC-S, licensed in Oregon.
Portland gives you room to be yourself. Whether you call it PDX, Stumptown, or the City of Roses, this is a city where a polycule dinner, a munch, and a full moon ritual can all happen in the same week without anyone blinking. But finding a therapist who actually knows your world is another story. Plenty of therapists here are affirming on paper. Far fewer can tell a metamour from a nesting partner without a glossary.
You should not have to spend your first two sessions teaching your therapist the vocabulary of your daily life. We have watched people do exactly that, with kind and skilled clinicians who simply did not know the territory, and we have seen how much it delays the actual work.
Who do we work with in Portland?
We work with polyamorous and non-monogamous people, kinky people, LGBTQIA+ people, neurodivergent adults, and people recovering from religious trauma, all through online therapy across the Portland area. Many of our clients live in several of these worlds at once, and we are fluent in all of them.
Maybe you have just been polybombed and the ground has not stopped moving. Maybe you and your partners took the leap into polyamory and cannot seem to stop fighting. Maybe your kink life is thriving but your anxiety is not, and you want a therapist who will not treat your D/s dynamic as the problem. Maybe you are queer in a city full of rainbow flags and still feel out of sync with everyone around you.
We also work with people untangling religious trauma, including folks who have landed in secular, pagan, and alternative faith paths. Portland has one of the most visible pagan and earth-based spiritual communities in the country, and we treat those paths as legitimate, not as symptoms.
What does poly native mean?
Poly native means we come from these communities, not that we merely tolerate them. At Love Let Out, we are not poly friendly, we are poly native. Whether you identify as mono-poly, relationship anarchist, part of a closed polycule, hierarchical or un-hierarchical, we have been there, and you will not have to translate.
What makes us weird makes us wonderful, not wrong. That is not a slogan we wrote for a website. It is how we practice.
How does online therapy work for Portland clients?
All Love Let Out sessions are telehealth, so you can meet with us from anywhere in the greater Portland area, including Gresham, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, and every neighborhood in between. No commute across the Burnside Bridge at rush hour, no waiting room.
Sessions with Portland clients are provided by Cody Glover, LPC-S, our founder, who is licensed in Oregon and has practiced since 2018. If you live elsewhere in the state, we offer the same care through therapy in Oregon statewide. Oregon clients receive a Board approved professional disclosure statement before services begin, so you know exactly who you are working with and how we practice.
