Therapy in Vancouver, WA

Love Let Out offers telehealth therapy to Vancouver, Washington and the surrounding area. We are a poly native, kink and LGBTQIA+ affirming practice, and Vancouver clients work with our founder Cody Glover, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington who is also licensed in Oregon. Sessions are held by secure video, so you can meet from home, your car, or anywhere private.

Can Vancouver residents see a Portland therapist?

Usually no, and that is the catch of living on the state line. Therapy licensure follows the state where you are located during sessions, so a therapist licensed only in Oregon generally cannot treat you at home in Vancouver. You may work, date, and spend your weekends in the greater Portland area, but your therapist has to be licensed in Washington.

Cody is licensed in both Washington and Oregon, so for our clients the river is not a barrier. If your life straddles the bridge, your therapy does not have to.

Who will I work with?

Vancouver clients work with our founder, Cody Glover, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington. Cody has been in private practice since December 2018 and specializes in open and non-monogamous relationships, kink and BDSM, LGBTQIA+ clients, and people leaving or reshaping their faith, including secular, pagan, and alternative paths. Our other clinicians are licensed in Texas only, so in Washington, Cody is who you get, and we think you will be glad about that.

What do you help with?

We work in five specialties: LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy, polyamory and open relationships, kink and BDSM affirming therapy, neurodivergent-affirming therapy, and religious trauma recovery. If you have ever had to teach a therapist the difference between a metamour and a nesting partner, or explain that your dynamic is consensual, that education tax ends here.

We also offer group therapy from time to time. No groups are currently enrolling, but mention your interest when you reach out and we will add you to the interest list.

Do you have an office in Vancouver?

No. We are a fully telehealth practice, so online therapy is how every session happens, with no offices in any state. No fighting I-5 bridge traffic to make a 5 pm appointment, and no chance of running into your coworker in a waiting room.

We serve clients in Vancouver and across Washington State, as well as Oregon and Texas. Washington requires counselors to give clients a written disclosure statement before services begin, and you will receive ours before your first session.

How do we get started?

If you live differently and want a therapist who can hear you, request a free consultation and see if we are a good fit. No pressure and no obligation, just a real conversation. Request your free consultation.
